Our submission to the exhibition was based on the research we had been doing on grave stone typography around Ireland, we’ve been fascinated by the myriad forms and styles that crop up in unexpected places and the way in which they have been degraded by the elements over time.

In this case we focused on the varying details in the letterforms that recede and appear as the sun’s light changes throughout the day, effectively generating multiple styles of the same typeface as time goes on.

The quote "When I have fears that I may cease to be" is from a poem of the same name that was written by John Keats in 1848. The exhibition was one of Offset's Offsite events taking place around Dublin in 2016.
